We are... Not Your Average Adventurers

NYAA isn't your average guild. In fact, we're Not Your Average Adventurers. We're a family, with no goals except those of our members. We are broad and diverse, with several active members (not counting alternates!) of varying levels from 10-70, from timezones scattered across the world.

We group together, hunt together, and help one another accomplish our goals. Those objectives might be an epic, or levelling to 70. They might be tradeskilling or finding a particular piece of equipment. They might be to see the Plane of Fear or to venture to every level of the Tower of Frozen Shadow. Whatever they are, the ambitions of our guild members are what's most important.

We accept any class, any race, both newbies and veterans alike. We aren't hard core raiders, and we don't require or even expect you to log in every day. Hell, we won't hold it against you if you don't log in every week. The only thing we do need is no drama, and a sense of loyalty.

We have an irreverent sense of humor, often bordering on obscene. While we are a family, our guild chat is probably not suitable for younger players. We prefer mature members, and anyone who is offended by occasional vulgarity might want to look elsewhere for a tag.

Each person who goes out to adventure, in a small way, represents all of us! Please, deal with others as you would like to be dealt with. Someday, some other Nyaaling may have to go out with them too. We are all responsible for how we as a guild are perceived by the rest of Norrath.

Nyaalings are generally known as competent, fun and honourable citizens of Norrath. It is expected that you will carry on this proud tradition. Respect for your guildmates is paramount, as is respect for your fellow players, asshats included. To quote somebody - never wrestle with a pig, you get covered in mud and the pig enjoys it too much.

Disrespectful behavior is frowned upon. If it seems habitual, an officer will be appointed to contact you about your behavior in an attempt to halt it. If you can't learn from a friendly chat, you will probably be removed from the guild.

We are here to try to help each other progress through zones, levels, abilities and gear. Do not expect that everyone is going to drop their own plans for a specific cause of your own at a moment's notice. We have a spot in the Forums called Random Numbers. This is the correct place to post a desire for some project or battle. Here, you can not only set up the parameters, but also get feedback and replies form those interested in assisting. Karma counts here - you wont likely get much assistance if you haven't shown yourself willing to help out other Nyaalings.

Its not all about Game Theory however, Nyaalings are generally fun people to group with, and you know you can count on them in a pinch - so guild groups are very much encouraged.

When on group/raid activities, unless the event is being held for a specific purpose, i.e. obtain epic drop piece X for Nyaaling, *all* loot is NBG (Need Before Greed). If you *n eed * it, we're more than happy to let all qualified classes /rand 1000. Depriving a guildmate of a potentially upgrading piece of equipment in order to enrich your own coffers is not acceptable.

Non-attending alts may be considered after all attending characters have passed.

A roll for greed (i.e. to sell in bazaar) is the last resort. If you are found to be claiming Need, and then selling the item through bazaar or /ooc, you will be taken to task. Repeat offenses will lead to removal.

We have the honor of being a very new and very junior partner in the endeavor known as the Norrathian Council of Guilds (NCG) . If you are going to avail yourself of the opportunities they provide, become familiar with the NCG Charter and expectations for raid attendees, and comply with them.

We expect you to understand how NCG events operate, to sign up (and show up) for events you are interested in, as fully briefed as you can be. Any/All loots, loot systems, required items, behaviour of attendees are entirely governed by the NCG ruleset. Do not appeal to Nyaa over perceived injustice, we are likely to be unsympathetic as the NCG systems and people are some of the fairest-minded you are ever likely to encounter in Everquest. Comport yourself with dignity and if possible, leave a good-looking corpse already auto-consented to the raid/group you are in at the time. Do not make us ashamed to have you bearing our guild tag.

Nyaa values honour and steadfast loyalty. Also, innovation, motivation and the colour puce. Our twin weapons are bazaar gear, clicky rezzes and CoTH. Our three weapons ... AMONGST our weapons are bazaar gear, clicky rezzes and CoTH. And a fanatical devotion to our Bind Points.

If you find you're unhappy with the pace, goals or aims of Nyaa and wish to seek another guild, we are generally understanding. Obviously doing so within seconds of completing an Epic or looting a particularly choice piece of gear will void that goodwill rather comprehensively. That said, if you decide to seek another guild, you are required to de-Guild before applying to the new one.

Former members who have left in good standing are welcome to continue to visit their friends on the boards. Those who depart in a stampede of angry emoticons, or those deguilded for conduct unbecoming will have their access revoked.
